Machine (Finale from Symphony No. 5) (Recreation)

For Concert Band

Uploaded on Mar 21, 2019

An entire recreation of the concert band arrangement "Machine", from William Bolcom's fifth symphony, transcribed by Paul Lavender.
I had the full score in hand for this, thanks to my band teacher!
Usually I do recreations to see how a song might sound (good or bad) in MuseScore. This piece I've always had an interest in because of how insane it is, just look at it all!

This is slightly different from the original, but only in terms of dynamics and articulation, such as staccatos at the end.

DISCLAIMER: I tried my best to get the percussion instruments right, and even added a few extra parts for it. The Mallet Percussion (Bass Marimba, Glockenspiel, Crotales, and Button Gongs) was the most difficult section, along with the Piano, which is actually meant to be a synthesizer in the actual score.
I apologize if they sound nothing like the actual thing.
