J.S. Bach, Fugue in B minor BWV 869 transcribed for string quartet

When I wrote out the four voices for the string quartet, I was so excited to see how perfect they seemed to have fitted for this instrument combination. It was almost perfect until I realized that the viola was expected to play the B below the C string, twice towards the end of the piece (bar 69 and 75). So I transposed the whole thing up a semitone to fix this. Still, I'd like to think that this is nonetheless a suitable transcription for string quartet. Hope you guys like it.

Hello!! :D

Here is a new (well old-ish) composition I made. The first 1:10 seconds was written about a year ago, then I began to add more onto it a couple days ago! This will be the new introduction to my Ascon series. Wow, I have so many compositions in this project now. Now it's a matter of more composing and then compiling them into a large soundtrack!

This intro is where the main character would be narrating the history of Ascon falling to the evil king. In the process of taking over this fantasy world, the boy's father disappears to who knows where (you can't find out right now xD) and leaves him orphaned back on earth. Now, the boy is left with his dad's journals and is trying to find the portal to Ascon.

(Extra Fact: The boy had never been to Ascon due to a growing tension with the rebels. In fact, his father had kept it a secret from the boy that he was the king. Since the boy was heir to the throne, the villain sent spies back to earth to kill him. The boy was just too clever to be caught by them!)

This is a short piano quartet that I had to write for a composition camp that I will be going to this summer. I am not very good at writing for piano yet.

(The reason that the score isn't very neat looking is because this was composed in Sibelius and not Musescore. I am changing to Sibelius but will still convert my scores to an XML file to be able to upload to Musescore because I still really like the community.)

Hello everybody!

Wow... 200 followers! I can't believe it! Thank you so much for all of you who have been so kind and supportive of me ever since I joined MuseScore a little over 2 years (or maybe even 3! I can't remember XD). It really means a lot to me to know that so many people enjoy listening to my music and helping me grow in my abilities to compose, arrange, and transcribe music.

Here is an epic orchestral piece I wrote just for my 200 followers special! The main melody is one one of my first ever compositions from 2 years ago. It tells the story of a warrior who is determined to keep and fulfill a promise he made. What is his promise? Who/what did he make it for? Well, that is for you to decide! Please share what you think the story behind this song should be!

Concerto in D Minor (RV 96) for Winds & Strings

Antonio Lucio Vivaldi (1678 – 1741) was an Italian Baroque musical composer, virtuoso violinist, teacher, and priest. Born in Venice, the capital of the Venetian Republic, he is regarded as one of the greatest Baroque composers, and his influence during his lifetime was widespread across Europe. He composed many instrumental concertos, for the violin and a variety of other instruments, as well as sacred choral works and more than forty operas. His best-known work is a series of violin concertos known as the Four Seasons.

Details regarding Vivaldi's early life are few. His father was a violinist in the Catherdral of Venice's orchestra and probably Antonio's first teacher. There is much speculation about other teachers, such as Corelli, but no evidence to support this. Vivaldi studied for the priesthood as a young man and was ordained in 1703. He was known for much of his career as "il prete rosso" (the red-haired priest), but soon after his ordination he declined to take on his ecclesiastical duties. Later in life he cited ill health as the reason, but other motivations have been proposed; perhaps Vivaldi simply wanted to explore new opportunties as a composer. It didn't take him long. Landing a job as a violin teacher at a girls' orphanage in Venice (where he would work in one capacity or another during several stretches of his life), he published a set of trio sonatas and another of violin sonatas. Word of his abilities spread around Europe, and in 1711 an Amsterdam publisher brought out, under the title L'estro armonico (Harmonic Inspiration), a set of Vivaldi's concertos for one or more violins with orchestra. These were best sellers (it was this group of concertos that spurred Bach's transcriptions), and Vivaldi followed them up with several more equally successful concerto sets. Perhaps the most prolific of all the great European composers, he once boasted that he could compose a concerto faster than a copyist could ready the individual parts for the players in the orchestra. He began to compose operas, worked from 1718 to 1720 in the court of the German principality of Hessen-Darmstadt, and traveled in Austria and perhaps Bohemia. Throughout his career, he had his choice of commissions from nobility and the highest members of society, the ability to use the best performers, and enough business savvy to try to control the publication of his works, although due to his popularity, many were published without his consent. Later in life Vivaldi was plagued by rumors of a sexual liaison with one of his vocal students, and he was censured by ecclesiastical authorities. His Italian career on the rocks, he headed for Vienna. He died there and was buried as a pauper in 1741, although at the height of his career his publications had earned a comfortable living.

An adventure begins for our protagonist! Indeed, it is a poor scarecrow that, one day, after months and years of waiting in his field, discovered his new power that makes him able to walk...or rather jump like a bunny.

The journey begins! Through the plains, the moutains, the forests and woods...
We could imagine different ends. A happy end, where the scarecrow will live freely for ever, or a sad end where he loose his foot and is stranded in a field, far from home, far from his friends...Then, let's imagine the next piece that could "sketch" those ideas.
Let's imagine!

Thank you guys for being more than 1300 on my profile! It means so much!! And...also, sorry for being late at celebrating it! ;)
I really really hope you will enjoy guys!! I can't wait to see your feedback!

It's exactly what the title says. I arranged it starting a few years back and I honestly can't do anything about getting commissioned without getting my name out there. So please, PLEASE, attribute this to me if you download! No, I won't sue you; just please respect this wish of mine.

Original music by Koji Kondo and owned by Nintendo so I can't make money off of this. So just, like, attribute the original composition to him and the arrangement to me.

I hope you enjoy; I really put my soul into this one!
