corbiwonkenob1 • Jul 14, 2019 Any advice on how to increase the length of a short score? I can't seem to make a piece over 2:30 and make it feel natural. If you write rock or pop music, a structure like Intro-Verse-Chorus-V-C-Bridge-C-Outro would work well. If you do mostly blues or jazz, you might choose to use a structure like a canon instead, like A-B-A-C-A-D-... (add another part for however long you want to keep it going) If you prefer more ambient or atmospheric music, try playing the basic piece twice with a short bridge riff in the middle and some sort of light embellishment on the second loop.
