Concert(???) band work in progress (idk if this should be classified as concert band or not help).

Wow! This is pretty different from the usual stuff I post on here, isn't it? I mean, for starters, it's a work in progress, which I never usually post, and sweet Gsus, look at the instrument count!

I have never worked on any really big ensemble pieces like this before, so please be kind! As this is a work in progress and I'm pretty much ad-libbing things, I hoped that publishing what I have so far would be a good way to ask for advice from band peeps and other composers to see what they think of it so far. I'm also hoping it'll prove to be motivation to keep me writing this (since I accidentally forgot it existed for like a semester...whoops).

The current plan: Next comes a more minor-y section that I have vague ideas for, and I'm not too sure what will come after that, but I do have the ending of the piece fairly fleshed-out. Any other ideas would be much welcomed, though! (Name ideas would also be much welcomed.)

Note: As this is a WIP project, I'm not really worrying about formatting right now, so there are pretty much no rehearsal markings and stuff. Also, there are some empty staves (i.e. oboe and unpitched percussion rip). I will add all of that stuff in later. I'm also not worrying about going soundfonting at this point, but here's slightly better audio if you really want it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1soQrVrkQSbFqVy3yY6V1q_U1o5U0-jlP/view?usp=sharing

This is just a work in progress at the moment, so please do not perform this song. Do not take, share, or post this audio or sheet music anywhere else.

Enjoy! :)

Bassoon
The 3rd movement from Alan Hovhaness' Shalimar Suite for Piano arranged for solo bassoon. This is is a very good etude for learning to properly use the flick keys and just happens to be a great piece in general. Happy playing!

I started this one a while back and was too lazy to finish it. But I sat down last night and put the work in! This one was pretty hard to transcribe because of the original recording with it's out of tune guitar and unstable pulse, but it was played beautifully! Here is a link to the video I used to transcribe this piece: https://youtu.be/5_E_y1AWAfc

And as always, have fun playing it!!

Chesnokov- Do Not Cast Me Off (Не отвержи мене во время старости) Op. 40-5 for String Orchestra

Hello all! Here's more Chesnokov for string orchestra, this time his piece "Do Not Cast Me Off (In My Old Age)", a concerto for basso profundo and choir. Yes, the contrabass line was intended to be sung in that original range. Russians can just Do That. It's actually a pretty profound song, as the lyrics were written at a time when old people were considered completely useless and a general burden. Give it a listen. Also I promise the Pre Eternal Council is coming, eventually. Stay tuned for more Chesnokov, and listen, comment, and enjoy!

This is my first transcription of a song. I chose this piece because I have an electric piano and it has a bunch of demo songs, and I liked this one over the others. It's a song they play at a bunch of Jewish weddings and it literally means "good luck." I added my own twist to it (The solo part was originally clarinet on the demo, but i thought violin would work better, the violin didn't play in the last section of the piece, ect.) I hope you all enjoy it!
Criticism is welcome :D

So, I started out with this one quartet of this song, and published it thinking, "I did an amazing job!" Time passes and then I realized that it sucked. So, I redid it and it's 100x better. I hope you all like it. Critique is wanted; I want to improve it the best I can

Picking Random Instruments

So, there's a challenge where you make a score, but you blindly pick your instruments. I ended up with Crotales, Alto Cornamuse, Cymbals, Kazoo, and Banjo, which gave me this beautiful work of art. I've never done any kind of percussion in my scores, so if the cymbals are downright horrible, I get it. Check out the other scores, and join the discussion! ;P

This is my first score and I had to upload it on a different account due to account issues. Feedback is appreciated!
