After the results for the first half of this challenge, I'm sure you're all wondering who the guest composer is this time.
Robin M. Butler!!!
Robin has been composing for a long time, and is certainly one of the most popular composers on this site. He recently posted his 400 follower special, and is well on his way to hitting 450. His piece 'Starship Explorer' won him a place as finalist in the 2016 National Young Composers Challenge. Overall, he is a very talented composer... But does our contestant have what it takes to beat him???
Sorry for sounding so dramatic ^^ :D
A couple of rounds back you were asked to write a piece based on a picture. This time we'll be doing something similar, but with another form of art. POEMS!!
DaggerQuill, as our contestant, you get the chance to choose the poem on which both yourself and Robin base your pieces. Here are the choices:
1) The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost (https://www.poetryfoundation.org/resources/learning/core-poems/detail/44272)
2) O Captain! My Captain!, by Walt Whitman (https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems-and-poets/poems/detail/45474)
3) Jabberwocky, by Lewis Carroll (https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems-and-poets/poems/detail/42916)
4) The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe (https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems-and-poets/poems/detail/48860)
As soon as you can, pick one of these above options and the round shall begin!
You can use as many instruments as you like, and the piece must last for 1-4 minutes, as usual. If you have any other questions, just ask.
The deadline is the 1st of May - good luck to our contestant and our guest!!!
