ROUND ELEVEN: Team

May 5, 2017

Great job on making our top 5, people! Only two more rounds before we reach top 4!

This round, unlike the last team round, you will all be competing in one big team. So... how do you win? You'll be doing it in a relay.

In the comments below I will ask you to select the order in which you write your addition to the team piece. The options are...
- First composer
- Second composer
- Third composer
- Fourth composer
- Final composer

Basically each composer will have approximately 3 days to do as much as they can on the group piece. The first composer will be responsible for beginning the piece however they like, the next three should try to continue the piece in as similar a style as possible, and the final composer will be responsible for finishing the piece, doing any soundfonts that are necessary and UPLOADING THE PIECE here on MuseScore.com.

There are a few rules regarding what you are allowed to do when it is your turn. Here they are:
1. Each composer must write at least 16 bars for the piece.
2. Each composer must label the start of their section with a double bar line and text stating their username.
3. Each composer must not share any information about what they have done to other competitors, nor may they share their work until the entire piece is finished.
4. When your deadline is reached for your turn, you are required to send your work on the score to me (via email, skype, google drive, or anything else), and I will pass it on to the next composer when their time starts. If all goes well, no one will have heard any sections after their own until the piece is published by the final composer.

Before you decide on what place you want to be in, read the following deadlines:
- The first composer must send in their work by the 10th of May at the very latest.
- The second composer must send in their work by the 14th of May at the very latest.
- The third composer must send in their work by the 18th of May at the very latest.
- The fourth composer must send in their work by the 22nd of May at the very latest.
- The final composer must send in their work by the 27th of May at the very latest.

Make sure you check the above deadlines to make sure you will be able to edit the score in between getting the piece given to you and sending the updated version in.

If you have any questions about this round, which I know you will, then ask them below. Other than that, try and sort out your order between you as soon as possible. Good luck!
