Boop (from RWBY, work in progress)

This is a by-ear transcription of "Boop" from the RWBY Volume 2 soundtrack. I figured I'd just post what I have. No telling how long it will take to finish this piece. I know there's not much left to do, but my time grows ever busier.

As usual, I'm trying to match the original audio as closely as possible, not make a beautiful or performable score. If you want to take what I have and polish it up, be my guest!

This is a by-ear transcription of "Dream Come True" from the RWBY Volume 2 soundtrack. As of 10/17/2017, I think it's as close as I'm going to get it.

Usual disclaimers apply: I'm not trying to make this score readable or performable, I'm trying to make it sound as close to the original as possible.

Feel free to use, copy, edit, play, arrange, transcribe, burn, or distribute this score however you want. Give me credit if you want, but I won't stop you from stealing this. :)

Also, I'm trying to decide what my next RWBY score should be. I welcome any suggestions.

I had some time to work on this today. No telling when I'll be able to again, but in the meantime we're inching closer to a decent sounding transcription.

To-do list:
1) strings etc. in 3rd verse and pre-chorus
2) guitar bits in last chorus
3) bassline in 2nd pre-chorus
4) ambient pad-sounding stuff in verses and pre-choruses
5) heavily filtered synth part in choruses
6) celesta embellishments here and there
7) a few backing vocals and some lyrics
8) might add claps on top of electronic snares, not sure
9) maybe some left hand stuff for the Rhodes
10) miscellaneous details all over the place

Usual disclaimers apply: it's a by-ear transcription. I'm trying to make it sound like the original, not necessarily a readable or performable score. But if anyone out there wants to take this and run with it, be my guest.

Update 12/1/16: just a couple of minor changes, and some new dynamics

Upate 11/30/16: fixed A#'s that could be played as Bb's to make it easier to read as well of a couple of other notes that are flat, and made the cello and bass parts to mp at the end of the piece

I know i have 2 other pieces to be working on right now that should be done, but this literally just happened and have no idea why. Anyways this is Jeff Williams Red Like Roses from the RoosterTeeth show RWBY, this is from the Red trailer. if you haven't watched RWBY i highly recommend it. this is crusaiders version of it, i just took what existed and moved things around. I should be finishing Savior of the Dreaming Dead sometime (hopefully) this week as its long overdue then i will be focusing on Asgore. As always any feed back is appreciated

I Burn (Jazz Remix) from RWBY Volume 3 for jazz band! This song was really hard to transcribe correctly, and even so I think it's only 95% accurate (the chromatic/diminished section at 29-31 was extremely hard, especially because of MuseScore's weird soundfonts and volume controls). However, I think I probably have the most accurate transcription of the entire song so far (at least on MS). I also did not tab out the guitar or bass parts (because I'm lazy and this was a hell lot of work already .-.) but if you're nice enough and give me Internet points I may consider it.

Also, the browser version of this score lacks a lot of markings. Download it for the full thing.

Instrumentation (parts are not separated):
3x tenor saxophone
2x Bb trumpet
2x C trombone
1x vibraphone
1x drumset (kick, snare, 3x toms, hi-hat, crash, ride)
2x distorted guitar
1x bass guitar (either 5 strings, or in alternate tuning)

My arrangement of Red Like Roses from RWBY. If you don't know what RWBY is, it's basically a web show in the style of a typical anime. It's very good. On it's way to being my favorite anime of all time. Anyway, This is my arrangement, based off of piano arrangement by TheIsther. Hope you enjoy it!

RWBY: This Will Be The Day

I was taking a break from composing (because of writer's block), so I decided to catch up with rwby because I heard volume 3 was really good. Immediately afterward, I started this arrangement. I'm trying to better my ears, so I did this one entirely by ear with no references whatsoever. Feedback is greatly appreciated!

Originally done in Sibelius, converted to musescore for viewing purposes. Some things have been distorted in the process, so there may be some unintended errors and sounds within the score in musescore.

The beginning of "This Will Be The Day" was inspired by the orchestral arrangement by Martin Huynh.

Many things are still not done, such as the main chorus of "It's Time To Say Goodbye" being relatively empty. This will be addressed in the future. Future plans include doing the second verse of "It's Time To Say Goodbye" by using a similar feel to the acoustic version in the official album, as well as including the third opening, "When It Falls".

Only Time Will Tell (RWBY -When It Falls- Arklight Percussion Ensemble Arrangement)

This is a percussion arrangement of "When It Falls" from Rooster Teeth's hit series, RWBY. Due to this being its "Opening 3",a recent edition to the RWBY soundtrack, a full-length version of the song has not yet been released, and furthermore this arrangement is still technically "incomplete." An updated, full-length score will be composed following the release of a full version of the opening. This piece is written for a mid-sized (advanced) percussion ensemble.

Red Like Roses

This is a piano solo arrangement of the song "Red Like Roses" from the RWBY Volume 1 soundtrack. This is the first time I've utilized key signatures in one of my arrangements!

The 6/8 part in the middle might make more sense if you think of it as 3/4, but I used 6/8 because that's how I imagined myself conducting it (clarification: one beat per measure, so not exactly 6/8. I guess the quarter notes should have been 8th notes for actual 6/8.) Also, my piano player tells me that some of the notes on Page 3 *almost* conflict (in terms of left hand/right hand), but it should be okay. Three bars before the 200 tempo, the eighth notes should be played as fast as possible (like a run), not necessarily in time.

This one has lots of bass eighth notes, just like my last RWBY arrangement did. Gotta get that fast-paced rock feeling in there somehow! Use the pedal whenever you can and it might sound a little better. Finally, another shoutout to Jeff Williams for being freaking awesome.

Concert band version of the RWBY Volume 1 theme song "This Will Be The Day" by Jeff Williams.

Baritone and Tenor Saxophones sub for the guitar parts. Trumpet get's the solo, which I've changed up to make it more suited for a wind instrument because the actual solo is only possible for an experienced guitarist and this is a concert band piece.
