Jakob Altmann Pro • Aug 18, 2019 As a violin player I don´t know much about saxophone, so I would be interested in hearing what you think! Is it playable? Comments 𝓓𝓪𝓾𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓞𝓯 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓞𝓷𝓮 𝓣𝓻𝓾𝓮 𝓚𝓲𝓷𝓰 It is playable! I'm both a violinist and a saxophonist (tenor). It's a very nice piece btw! Lacy Watson I've never heard the piece but saxophone is a very easy to learn instrument. It gets harder on the pieces you want to play, but for the most part I believe you could do it! Jonathon5221 Run. Jakob Altmann Jonathon5221 what do you mean? Catloaf I mean....Any instrument is playable in my mind (except for flutes etc) but if you haven't played reed instruments and would like to start I recommend starting on smaller ones and climbing up if you want to. For example (start on the clarinet and once you master the right embouchure etc move to alto sax...then to tenor) I think it just helps with mouth positioning when transferring but if you want to jump right into playing the saxophone that is alright too! email@example.com As an alto sax player, some of the higher notes may be a bit sharp if not played by an experienced player, it looks like a medium level piece for a saxophone, but would be fun balancing with the rest of the orchestra jfinlayson2001 i know a lot of violin/viola/cello players that have switched to sax for our school concert band, so it just comes down to practicing.
