Star Wars Scores and Star Wars Scores 2.0 are run by me. There is no one else. Star Wars Scores 2.0 is just so I don't have to buy a Pro. Either way, I'm too poor to even get one. All my money goes into my oboe and bassoon reeds. I will still be on Star Wars Scores, but since I reached the max scores that I could upload (5 scores), I will be uploading to this new account. Thanks for all the likes, tips, and comments on all the scores from the first account! If you guys (for some reason) want to know my personal account, it's @afjkl_, I haven't really uploaded on that for a long time, but I do plan to do so soon.
After I had finished the Dune Sea and Moisture Farm, I got about halfway done with Binary Sunset (I got the hologram section down so far). The only reason I had stopped working on it was because I had some career opportunities pop up and I was busy with that for a little, and then I had some side projects that I wanted to work on for my local orchestra to play, and I just have finished those (Commando March and Sleigh Ride). Now that I am back on track you guys can expect Binary Sunset in from about a week to a month from now.
This discussion group seems a little dead, only a couple of active members, but I'm hoping we can change that soon.
I think I might be the first one doing this but, I will be posting a brief section from the beginning of Revenge of the Sith where Anakin and Obiwan fly over Coruscant in an all out Separatist and Republic battle, trying to recapture the chancellor maybe next week or so. I also have The Battle of Hoth (not because Lynx Compositions did it. I have been wanting to do this for a long time now) in the making as well, which is almost done.
If there are any suggestions, don't be afraid to comment it
(This is personally one of my favorite scores from the movie)
You guys have probably already noticed a few of the scores I have uploaded on this group. I just want to elaborate on what I am doing. I am currently taking an attempt at transcribing the entire soundtrack of A New Hope. It is a daunting task, but I am taking it with baby steps at the moment. So far I have finished the first 4 songs, and they are the most recent scores uploaded to this group. (I combined the Main Title with Imperial Attack).
My goal is to make them sound as close to the original as possible. The method I use currently is loading the original recording into Logic Pro X and amplifying certain frequencies to manipulate the sound so that I can make out individual parts. That can get especially tricky though when trying to discern what instruments are doubling what and how many are playing, so at that point it's just a lot of judgement calls on what would make the most sense in a concert setting.
I hope the scores I have uploaded so far have been pretty accurate, and that you guys like them. If I ever finish this project I may make some more concert arrangements similar to the ones I made for the Hoth Suite.
If anybody is looking at this could anybody provide a piano version of Ben Kenobie's Death/TIE Fighter Attack? Then, I will make it into full orchestra giving most of the credit to whoever provides the sheet music of coarse.
