Save lyrics with midi export as 2 options: "KAR file (MIDI File with lyrics)" and "KAR file with chords"

This is a request that goes back to at least 2015 and I have formally requested this feature again (see https://musescore.org/en/node/290163) - to create KAR files, and kar files with chords. This would allow us to use a real Karaoke Player, such as the free van Basco player (http://www.vanbasco.com/karaokeplayer/) app for practice, performance, learning, teaching, etc. It's high time for this feature after 10 years. Let's see what other potential users say!

Do you realize the numbers of  school teachers, and church choir leaders would would find this useful for teaching, conducting parishioners, choruses etc.? And why not lyrics from several voices simultaneously?

Do you realize how useful these files could be with karaoke software?! I am a programmer and I see the arguments as "beside-the-point" and not at all insurmountable. Read my request where I address the programmer's objections. With all the lyric-typing I do I am disappointed/insulted that I can't export the lyrics with the midi. I have searched high and low and the closest software I can find to a solution is Serenade (http://www.1manband.nl/serenade/index.htm) which is far from as perfect for this as MS would be. Please help promote the idea!

A Christmas Presentation

I have put together a Christmas presentation for my Sunday School Children at church.  It is for age groups 3 to 14.  I am happy to share the whole lot if someone is interested.  It is a chronological reading of the events starting with the prophecies and ending with the 3 wise men.  All the readings are interrupted with appropriate carols.  Only 4 strong readers have speaking parts.  The rest are silent, which makes preparation and rehearsals easy.  I live in South Africa, so some of the songs are in the Afrikaans language, but all the songs can be done in English except for Bethlehem Ster, but that is replaceable. I have done an power point presentation to accompany the whole lot. You can contact me on jurkewitz.sa@gmail.com

Epiphany Plays

In Europe we have a medieval pageant that tells the Three Magi meeting with King Herod and newborn Jesus. It is often called as an Epiphany Play and the players are called as Star Singers/Boys, usually a group of four. The groups often get around from place to place like the carol singers in England. There are several versions in different countries, among other Germany, Austria, Finland and Sweden.

In this group you can find the following carols:

Finland (Tiernapojat)
- Hyvää iltaa
- Herodeksen laulu
- Murjaanien kuninkaan laulu
- Murjaanien kuninkaan alistaminen
- Tähtise kulkevi
- Tain tähtein
- On lapsi syntynyt meille
- Piltin synnytti Betlehem
- Knihdin laulu
- Keisari Aleksanteri
- Jopa joutui jouluaamu
- Virret taivahan
- Kiitos olkohon

Sweden (Stjärngossarna)
- Staffansvisa - Staffan var en stalledräng
- Konung från Morialand
- Stjärngossarna, medley:
1. Visan om tre heliga konungar
2. Jungfru Maria söker Jesus
3. Staffan och Herodes
4. Jesu barndoms visa
*5. Staffan var en stalle dräng* (another melody)
6. Djäknesången
7. Gabriel ängeln vart utsänd
8. Borritz Jukekväde
9. Haven tack
- Julspelet i Köla, medley:
1. Goder afton
2. Herodes
*3. Konung från Morialand*
4. Avskedssång

German/Austria (Sternsinger)

Polish carrols

Hello Everyone. I just find this Group, so I've posted few polish carrols.
There is language difficulty, but... more polish carols may be found on here: http://www.wbc.poznan.pl/dlibra/docmetadata?id=52731
This is one of the first source of our carrols, and "shephards' songs".
In Poland - carrols are named: kolędy (pluralis), which are use in church, and second category is: pastorałki (also pluralis, that's what I try to translate as shepards' songs)- those are not for church.
