Dragon Lands for Strings and Percussion

Uploaded on Jun 19, 2015

A semi-collaboration with Spoink (the Piggy) a while back that was less of a collaboration and more "you can use ideas of mine, I'll use ideas of yours" kind of deal. I was really happy with the result. The "Homeland" movement, or intro, is basically an arrangement of an idea Spoink had, the rest of the piece is mine. Enjoy! The percussion usually represents the dragon (especially the crotales) and the strings usually represent the man on his horse.

I. Homeland - A man travels on his horse around a snowy area a few miles away from his town
II. Beware the Sleeping Dragon - and he finds a sleeping dragon in a cave, that wakes up, yawning, and spooks the horse
III. The Chase - The man runs without a horse, but to no avail
IV. The Dragon's Deadly Waltz - "Playing with his food"
V. Loss of Thought - The man is eaten, the dragon is happy.
