Fantasy on a Theme from Lucia di Lammermoor - L. de Saint-Lubin - Op. 46
For Solo (instrumental or vocal part)
Uploaded on Mar 13, 2019
Léon de Saint-Lubin was a Romantic violinist whose life remains somewhat of a mystery. What is known, however, is that he was born in Italy, moved to and attained fame in Germany, and left behind a prolific amount of violin showpieces as well as a few symphonies and quartets. The Fantasy, based on the famous sextet "Chi mi frena in tal momento" from Gaetano Donizetti's opera Lucia di Lammermoor, is Saint-Lubin's most well-known piece and was dedicated to his fellow virtuoso Heinrich Ernst.
Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!
