Henry Cowell's Aeolian Harp (1923) was one of the first piano pieces ever to feature extended techniques on the piano which included plucking and sweeping the pianist's hands directly across the strings of the piano.
the printed music is full of wrong notes, and the audio version is clearly cheap midi, having nothing to do with the sound of plucked strings. garbage.
I played a little bit of it before cutting my self on the piano string!
This is an amazing piece. I did a report on the origin, use, and techniques of the 'infamous' plucking technique. Awesome stuff :D
