Sleigh Ride for a Gershwinesque Orchestra (Finished 12/21)

Uploaded on Dec 11, 2016

12/21- It's finished! I cut it off where I did because 1. I feel like that's where the song should end (the original feels kind of redundant), and 2. I wanted to finish soon because there's another large arrangement I'm working on that I want to put out before Christmas. So here it is, listen, comment and enjoy!

12/18- added up to the second whip hit; the next update will probably be the finished thing.

12/12- Finished the second section, added Gershwin's trilly trumpet thingy to the intro, and finished up the piano part that was half-finished before.

This is a thing I started working on a while ago, and as you can hopefully tell it's unfinished. If you want me to keep working on it, say so, or if you think this is a bad idea tell me as well :P I'm a huge fan of Gershwin's music, how he blends jazz and classical together, so I decided to arrange Sleigh Ride for a Gershwin-esque orchestra. This is primarily based on the style of his musicals and soundtracks, with the beginning in very fast swing. If I continue it I'll probably put some slow non-swing sections in it (or slow swing sections). Listen, comment, and enjoy!
