As part of our (not sure what to call it, so might just call it) undergraduate program, a chamber music group has been created with;1 trumpet (or flügelhorn or cornet)1 trombone (euphonium, bass trombone or alto trombone is also available)1 tuba (in Eb)The level is conservatoirial, and as this is part of our education, a challenging level is appreciated. The challenge, however, is that I need to present the pieces to the group by the end of March, to be able present a proper rendition before the end of the semester.I cannot promise that all of your pieces will be played, and I can't give an estimate on how many pieces we can get through; but if you want an opportunity for your music to be performed, this is perhaps the thing for you.
So I only have a few measures of a first movement but I hope to expand this into a full 4 movement string quartet. Thing is, I find it hard to get the combination of being in sonata form and still being interesting when it gets past duets into trios and quartets. I know it should be easier because I have more freedom with a string quartet than with a piano sonata but no, I have always found piano sonatas easier to compose. Here is my first draft. You can see that I go from a Tutti to the cello playing solo which really brings out the warm sound of the cello. I plan on having the other instruments come back one by one until I reach Tutti again. So here is the link:https://musescore.com/user/50070/scores/5453458
