Hello dear woodwinds,There are pieces for double bass and wind ensembles already, but they are rather difficult to listen to, so I've been arranging two pieces originally for double bass and piano; one of them to woodwind quintet, and the other one to concert band. I've been studying woodwinds a lot so I think I've made nice parts. Please have a listen:https://musescore.com/user/352976/scores/5437181https://musescore.com/user/352976/scores/5387345
Why are there transposing instruments? I mean you play a certain note but the one you played is different than the one written on the music? Why do we have this? Why dk we make it to where the Bari sax is reading treble clef? That's really just kind of twisted...
I'm in one of the first ensembles to play the piece, and if you can get your hands on it, you need to play it. It's a very Clarinet-heavy work, with an Oboe Solo (Clarinets play a second, hidden part, so I don't know if it's a solo), A trumpet solo, a Flute solo, and a Sax Quartet. Music for a gentler time indeed...It might not be released yet, just look for the Clinton High School Wind Ensemble's performance of it in March. It may be released, I don't know. Just keep a look out.(If I'm way to active, let me know)
