A remix of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by the Beatles. I had been thinking about a chord progression recently, where minor chords move up in minor thirds, Gm | Bbm | Dbm | etc. I was going through this Beatles sheet music book when I found that it sounded interesting over the chorus. Most of the song is the same idea as the original but the choruses are WAY different.
A cool thing I experimented with in the second and third verse was to mix the melody up, time signature wise. Because the melody is basically three notes per bar, it worked in 4/4, 3/4, and the occasional 7/8 I threw in.
By the way, the lyrics for the last verse come from the "love version" of the song, not the original released.
