Gateway Into Eden

Alright, there is a lot to this one. As much as I dislike showtunes, the inspiration for this one actually came while I was learning how to play music from Hamilton on my piano. I don't know the name of the song I was playing, but if you know the music you can definitely hear the similarities in the opening piano part. After that it transformed into this concept of humanity always reaching for more, and never being satisfied, myself included. Every time we almost achieve happiness, it isn't enough anymore and we have to start all over. We are always trying to enter paradise, the Garden of Eden persay, but we can't get past the gate. The ending where the main powerful melody carries on into a minor descent is sort of a representation of how greed is our downfall as a society. It ends with just the double reeds playing that opening theme, Eden from a distance.
