I really liked writing this one. I was trying to branch away from the amateur repeating chord progression thing I have going in a lot of my music. It's really funny because I only put the opening melody in the trombone because I felt bad about the fact that I never write good trombone music. Trombone is always just there, because, well, it's supposed to be. Also, I always think of the Madagascar soundtrack when I play this one because that is where the inspiration came from. I started writing it after watching the second movie. I also absolutely hate the ending. The balance is off and it doesn't follow the same concepts as the rest of the piece. I plan on changing it some day, but sometimes you spend months on a piece and you just have to get it done. (The ending was inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean).
