Very beautiful and mysterious it remains me the foggy sea wich surround Avalon island...
Do you know any beginner organ pieces? I am just starting the organ after a year of piano. (Example, but not my best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0DPabj7uJY&t=5s) I am only self-taught since my family cannot afford a teacher. So if you can give any advice, I would appreciate it.
The best I can think of is Bartók's Mikrokosmos. A lot of it of it does very well on the piano and organ alike. It has 153 pieces in 6 volumes, arranged from very simple unison melodies to professional concert pieces.
Reminds me of Debussy's Syrinx..great job!
I just tried this out on the flute. There were some tricky bits that would require practice (I'm no virtuoso). At the high part in bar 21 the neighbour actually banged on the wall! Great solo piece.
It's a disgrace your neighbour banged on the wall. He heard the first performance ever! I'm not sure about the technical possibilities of the flute. I used the instrument as a vehicle for what could be used in more than one way. I also play these kind of melodies on the organ.
