Mipha's theme (arrangement for two violins)
For String Duet
Uploaded on Jul 19, 2019
2017 was a spectacular year for video games, and game soundtracks in particular. In March alone we had Breath of the Wild, Horizon Zero Dawn, and NieR Automata — each by itself sufficient to wipe the floor with everything released in the ten years prior. Then Persona 5 would follow. Then Super Mario Odyssey. All in the same year. What a treat.
I've featured some music from NieR already, high time to catch up on Zelda. And no way am I starting with anything but this piece. Poor Mipha.
Arranged for two violins in the original key. Suitable for complete beginners in their first year, playing solo or in duet, with or without a teacher. Playable entirely in first position.
Much has been said about Manaka Kataoka and Yasuaki Iwata's mad skillz, so for once I won't use this space to gush over technicalities.
