I know next to nothing about the rules of counterpoint, but I have to agree with BSG that this is a very beautiful piece of music.
Really wonderful counterpoint and indeed stylish ! Gorgeous and contemplative a little reminded me of Hindemith of course ! Also made me think of Honegger music on B- A - C - H . However your sound is totally unique you have your own voice undoubtedly !
This is so stylish; a gallery of impressionist paintings, drowned in thick and heavy atmosphere.
Glad you're back Philip! Bravo on your new and unique pieces!
This is really quite, quite beautiful and skillful and wholly in your language. Welcome back!
Good to see you here on MS again...really interesting score, with some beautiful moments with some tasty "modal" flavours. I liked especially the second movement at a first listening. As always I found that your style is very personal and original and this is surely a good thing!
