The Four Seasons(WIP)
For Mixed Duet
Uploaded on Jan 2, 2019
I am in the process of transcribing The Four Seasons for piano and flute. I have transcribed the entire Spring Concerto, just 3 more short concertos to go. I modified it slightly. Like in the section where you have really fast 32nd notes, I kept it the same for the flute but for the piano I changed it to octave tremolos.
I in general did this:
Flute -> Solo violin notes
Piano right hand -> Second violin and Viola notes
Piano left hand -> Cello notes
For the Largo, I had the First violin and Second violin notes in the right hand and the Viola notes in the left hand. That is a lot of work having to translate notes in the alto clef to treble clef and bass clef.
The Summer Concerto I think is going to be the hardest to transcribe. All those tempo and time signature changes within a single movement. Plus the Presto "Storm" movement.
What do you think of my transcription so far?
EDIT: I have transcribed the Summer Concerto as well, not as hard as I thought it would be. I am now in the process of transcribing the Autumn Concerto.
