For Marching Band
Uploaded on Feb 18, 2019
A short song based off of the famous poem "Drummer Hodge." There are three major motivic sections of the piece.
The first is introduced by trumpets and snared drums, and is passed on to the tenors.
The second is the cheerful melody played by the flutes and glockenspiel.
The third is the solemn brass chorale at the end.
These melodies are linked by a three-note motif as well as others in the piece.
