This is the third of the servant of the Lord songs in Isaiah. Because it is about the deep and intense suffering of our Lord I set it to Genevan 88. Psalm 88 is the darkest and bleakest of all the Psalms for it is the only one that is not resolved at the end. Psalm 88 ends this way: "You have caused my beloved and my friend to shun me; my companions have become darkness."
