Synth Scherzando (10 Minute Challenge)
Uploaded on Aug 28, 2017
10-Minute Challenges are back! This round for https://musescore.com/groups/10minutechallenge/discuss/4426441, I needed to write 100 bars' worth of music in 10 minutes.
I had to work on this one at breakneck speed. Wanting this to sound like an actual piece, I set this to a very fast tempo (comparable to the second movement of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony). I then proceeded to copy and paste several bars' worth of music in order to get this finished on time (a lot of music genres tend to do that, anyway).
The first 12 bars of this piece sound familiar to me, but I can't quite put my finger on why.
After listening to this short piece, it reminds me a lot of Felix Mendelssohn's works. I wonder what instruments he would use if he were alive today....
