Composing a Nocturne

So you know how I composed a nocturne before? It's now on my YouTube  channel if you want to check it out. Here is the link to my previous  nocturne if you want to listen to it:

But  I am planning on composing a second nocturne and uploading it here. I  know that it has to be evocative of the night but is there anything else  I need to take into consideration when writing a nocturne?

Hi everyone, I've been trying to compose pieces for two days and playing the piano for three months so it sounds fair to say that I'm new to most of it all.
I know my C and G scales so I supposed it'd be reasonable to try to compose something but both my pieces seem to eventually leave the C key signature as I add things which sound pleasant to my ears.

Any chance you could let me know what you think of them ?

Looking For Submissions.

Hello! My friend and I are currently working on a short film to enter in youth film festivals. We are in need of a soundtrack. If anyone is interested in writing a piece for it please let me know. There's no guarantee we will use any piece, but we are still looking for options! If anyone would like to know more details feel free to ask. Thank you!

Tonja's Welcomoe Carol -- My first own composition

Hi there,

What do you think about this composition?
https://musescore.com/user/27859428/scores/5432755

I tried to create my very first own composition from my autodidactic music theory and learning-by-doing knowledge. It is dedicated to my daughter Antonia, born just 10 days ago. ^^

It's a quite simple pop song with the 4 chord fool proof recipe. ;-) The total effort comes to 2 days or maybe 8 to 10 hours. It contains an intro, catchy chorus and two short verses. It ends with a little chorus variation. The 2nd verse has some jazzy chords. The motif is inspired by my daughters sweet hiccup.

Hope you like it,

Cheers, Ortwin
