I picked some of the best Marvel score makers in Musescore. Thank you for Joining this group.
Not sure how many of you know about the MuseScore feature where you can synchronize a YouTube video with a score, but thought it could be pretty cool to sync up some lot videos.
Here is an example of a synchronized score: https://musescore.com/robin_m_butler/drum-corp
This could take the concept of Vic Firth's "Learn the Music" to the next level. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCq9eCicq8HmD80vSyIbp8w
For those of you who don't know this, I created this group just recently and it would be totally awesome if we had more members. So if you can, spread the word about this group and show some support for mallets.
There is debate in the Bodhrán community, as to whether the playing should be written down or not. No Bodhrán player I know plays a tune the same way twice, and it is very much playing with the feel of the music.
Having said that, when I first started Bodhrán drumming I found it useful to have a guide as to what to do, so adding Bodhrán to MuseScore may help beginners. Also it would be useful to have the drumming added to a Tin Whistle score, for example, which gives a feel for what the two instruments will sound together.
However if you are dead set against Bodhrán notation, then I understand :-)
How many of you play the piano?
I get stuck mostly when writing front ensemble and it usually happens with keyboard instruments whether that's finding a rhythm or a groove or trying to blend with battery or building for an impact. Any tips?
I just installed MDL 1.2.1, but what are the changes in this version from the previous version?
Is there any fun BSA tunes I should do?
I just finished my first original composition please check it out!
Sorry to you who will receive this discussion multiple times lol I gotta get the word out somehow
My friend and I have a Youtube channel and at 100 subs we promised we would start work on a long term project which is a film we call Karate Steve II: The Duke of Overkill. Our channel is comedy so that is what our movie will be. We have a synopsis done and the first couple minutes worth of script. I think it would be fun to have an original theme over some royalty free music off the internet.
Here's the basic idea for the film:
Karate Steve has forgotten who he is due to the script for Karate Steve I being misplaced and his mission is to locate the script before the evil Duke of Overkill finds it. He works with Director Mister President of the S.E.A.E.Y.E.A.Y (pronounced C.I.A) to find it.
The idea for the music would be a 70s disco spy thriller. We need a theme that would be able to be placed throughout the film as a motif of the character and his fight against the sinister organization F.A.R.T (the Foundation Association of Redundant Troublemakers.)
If this sounds stupid that's because it is. Were aiming to film and edit this summer and the film should be posted by the end of August or early September.
Here's the link to the video we introduced the character in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6MoR7UwQLU
Skip to 1:00 into the video to see the fake trailer we made for the movie before we knew we were gonna make the movie.

There are so many great scores for winds on this site that lack percussion parts. I thought I would kick start a group here for wind arrangers looking for battery arrangers to collaborate with.
If you are a wind arranger looking to collab with a percussion arranger, post a link to your score in this thread.
Welcome to the BSA group! Please state your current rank, and your favorite merit badges in order to get to know you a little more!
Short piano piece; feedback of any kind would be very nice! :D
Check this out! Please give feedback so we can make this better.
Sorry to those of you who are getting this discussion multiple times
