I was in love with MuseScore 2. MuseScore 3 is nice, but is too buggy. I'm loosing hours of work because unnexpectally the software shut down and lot's of things are throwed away. There is a new version, but the link is broken. :-(
I've noticed that the contrabass clarinet(it should be noted that I've heard people complain about other instruments as well) does not immediately play low notes in sheet music, often playing them a 32nd note or more behind. It's very annoying, and hard to fix. I posted this on the discord a day or two ago and there's been no response so I decided to post this here(by the way you guy get a lot of questions on discord you should keep a better eye on that)
The quote button is not working anymore.
And now I notice there are replies to other stuff I didn't get notified for....
The normal replay button there is gone.
I like the reply button, but now the three dots in the corner of every comment is just sitting there and doesn't do anything. Also, I've noticed that for some reason I'm being notified of replies aswell (not really a fan because it causes spam)
As the title suggests, when I try sending my score to the linked YouTube account, it does not work. I have tried three times with the same piece of music and it has yet to show up on my YouTube channel. I have already tried unlinking and relinking my YouTube account. Anyone having a similar problem? Thanks y'all.
I'm attempting to write a timpani solo that uses the MDL rails and pictograms, but I can't find them anywhere
Hello, lately I've been having problems uploading videos to youtube from the platform, because at the moment they are already on YouTube the score does not appear, only a blank sheet appears.
I await your response, thanks.
I got scared for a bit.....
MuseScore 3 has a lot improvements but I miss one.
In the base Template I use for the our choir I want (and have) to add the logo of the choir on the first page of the Score.
I added the image tot my template, saved it as mszx and mscz but that didn't make a difference
This did not work in MuseScore 2, and still it does not work in MS3.
I see a lot of people asking for this. Why is it so complicated to use the image that is in the template file when I create a new score with usage of that template.
In th mscx file I se guid.jpg instead off guid I see a actual guid. Then I see where the correct path where the image is stored ithis is the correct path.
But I think the gui of the image that is used in the Source file of the template does not exist in the newscore that is created from the template and therefore it cannot find an image and cannot display it.
Now at the max I can transpose notes a septiem at the max. But If I want the choir to sing 1 octave Higher I have to transpose it 1 octave. So I first transpose it 1 Septiem and then again 1 Secunde. Why can't I do it with 1 stroke.
I Know selecting the notes and CTRL Up or DOWN can help with that but then I sometimes get unwanted signes (#, b)
In our Man choir we often have that 1 of our staffs just have to sing 1 octave higher or lower. Now I have to transpose that staff, and make sure all notes are correct after that.
I don't want to change the notes, just be able to say: "play this staff 1 octave (or part of an octave of course) higher or lower".)
I cannot upgrade to MuseScore 3 as I have a old OSX, thus I kept MuseScore 2.3.2
Nevertheless, the convert pdf file (https://musescore.com/import) seems to convert for MuseScore 3 and I cannot use the generated files (I have an error while opening them in MuseScore saying that it has been created by a newer version)
Is there an import tool (the old one in 2.3.2) available that I can use?
This discussion is to be used for requesting specific pieces to be transcribed to MuseScore for the purpose of being converted to Braille. Feel free to ask for anything that is not under copyright. Requests for copyright scores cannot be currently honored through this site. Any requests for copyright materials will be deleted without comment.
This is also the place to volunteer to do these transcriptions. If you have a transcription that you think would be usable for Braille conversion, or would like to fulfill a request, please let us know here. That will help to prevent multiple people working on the same transcription.
If you volunteer to do a transcription, please drop me an e-mail also. I would like to be able to communicate with you during the process and be available to answer any questions you might have.
I think what would be a good idea for Musescore to be a better place is to have moderators checking comments and discussions and deleting them if they are inappropriate or offensive. I'm not sure if Musescore already has this, but I don't think that it does.
the stats appear to be jumping around again...
on previous occasions i noticed that the downloads would spike for a few days. (never got more than hypotheses about what was going on.) now i have my latest score racking up views faster than any before (it's currently number 9 out of >110 scores after less than two days). i know that there was just a change in the notifications about followers uploading a new score, but i can't imagine this explains all of this sudden supposed traffic. (if so, then i guess i shan't complain further and just say thanks for listening.)
This may have been discussed previously, but I can't figure out how to get a brief title-only listing of the scores in a given group or set.
For example, there's a set of Scott Joplin piano rags on this user's page, and I may want to know if the set includes Joplin's "Magnetic Rag".
When I click on the set, I get a very long page that included "full entry" metadata for each score in the set, and as a user, I have to do a lot of scrolling to see what pieces are in the set, and if the piece I'm looking for is included.
What I'd like to see is an "index list" (a set of titles, like a Table of Contents) that does not include an image of the score and all the score description metadata. That would making browsing a group or a set of scores much more efficient. The solution could be as simple as using a drop-down widget to hide or expose the score description notes and the image of the score that is included when you click on a Set or a Group listing.
Am I overlooking a way to do this that already exists?
Is there anyone else here who would appreciate having a messaging function built into MuseScore? I know I would; I don't like having to use my private email for correspondence within the MuseScore community.
My idea is for messages to go directly to the user's MuseScore account, rather than to their personal email address that they used to create their account. I can easily think of examples where the current messaging system proves to be impractical, and you likely have experienced some of the disadvantages yourself.
The fact that I'm forced to disclose my email address to each and every user I message is enough cause to look for a better solution!
Just a simple messaging function included in the MuseScore website would remove all of the ongoing problems.
Hi, i can't use the import function any more. Month ago i added a pdf but still waiting to get the result ..., system shows up the 'queued' state.
In addition, no uploads are possible. If i try to upload some files, the file-dialog is shown, but after selecting the file, nothing happens.
Any advice for me?
The underlying hyperlinks for the automatically-generated names (e.g., @Mike Magatagan") in posted comments/replies, contain invalid hyperlinks.
For example: on a reply to an "Improving MuseScore.com" comment, the user name printed at the beginning of the comment contains an invalid reference (e.g., https://musescore.com/user/Mike%20Magatagan instead of the actual https://musescore.com/mike_magatagan )
