My band director is soon returning from maternity leave, and I was thinking about playing a piece with some friends to welcome her back. My group consists of 1 clarinet, 3 flutes, 1 trumpet, 1 tuba and a few others willing to play if a chance arises. (Euphonium, Percussionist and trombone) Help me!
Came across the list of "top 50 greatest jazz saxophone players of all time", thinking that the list is quite good. But I would place Pharoah Sanders at list in the Top-5 (he is in the end of the list, but, in my opinion, that's not right), for me he is one of the best ;Ornette Coleman was really great as well. What you guys think about the list and what changes would you make in it?
HI, intermediate level looking for fun violin duet songs to play with my grandma! Please give suggestions!
I composed the piece in a bad mood, so I want to make it graceful but a bit disturbing.
Please feel free to leave your comments :)
Please help me on my first jazz head. Any and all input would be amazing
A group of children want to perform a trio on cello, trumpet and flute. They really need help making the music sheet for Africa by Toto and need some urgent help. If anyone has free time and knows how to write music please help us write an easy version of Africa. Help will be appreciated a lot!
I need orchestral arrangements that ONLY include Violin, Viola, Double Bass, and Cello, but excluding classical music. The level can be high, but make sure it doesn't last too long.
Hi Guys! I have created a new piece into my collection!... a rondo! I would gladly like comments and critique based on it! :)
I'm glad to find such a large group of my people! So now an actual discussion question. I am trying to play this piece here ----> https://musescore.com/user/5473921/scores/2030666 and measure 27 etc. is killing me! I can move my fingers fast enough, but I cant move my air fast enough. Any tips?
hello good people of musescore!
I don't really know how things work here but i would like to share my first string quartet composition. i play violin and i love arranging/composing for string instruments.
any comments and critique will be very much appreciated. thanks!
I'm currently doing a collection of pieces in all 24 keys, for piano solo. I need help completing the set, so I'd appreciate it if you'd help out composing a short (less than or around 4 minutes) in G# minor (for now). The only criteria it must fulfill in order for it to be considered in the project is that the style of the piece must be different from the rest. Example: the piece in F major is written in a waltz, the one in Eb major is written 4/4 against 3/4, C minor has a Prokofiev (I think) feel to it, F minor is written in jazz, etc. Also, it must show some form of virtuoso/impressionism (whichever you are aiming for). I am interested in the dances forms (tango, marzuka, minuet, sarabande...), but anything goes for now. Credits will be given for the piece if it makes it in, as well as a favourite and a follow, very well deserving.
Here's the piece: https://musescore.com/user/151230/scores/5162921
PS: I might reject some pieces if I find the piece unsuitable for the project, I'll also include critique/reasons for the said decision. Love to hear from you guys!
I am a alto sax player, but i don't compose music. i was wondering if any of those in this community were star wars fans and would like to write up a melody for star wars that isn't to hard. not a lot out there for this
Hey I am practicing on muse score and I figured if you all need any song done if you just post them here i will do my best to make them for you!
My first string piece, Farewell, is out! Feel free to give it a listen and some feedback!
Is it just me or is the group at a stalement? It only to me a few seconds to reach comments from 7 years ago. I play clarinet btw.
Alina Baraz-Floating Ft.Khalid for Cello
Hey, I know that this is for horn players (which I am), but are there any mellophone players here? And if there is, any advice because I really want to expand my range. My mello is in the key of b-flat.
In a few weeks, I'll start giving saxophone lessons to a few kids between the age of 10-12. They have one or two years of experience.
Does anybody here know any (not too hard) songs they could learn?
