Hey brass players, I'm just trying to get my name out there, so go check out Darth Mauldin on youtube, link here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyt1_lzcezGK3RXhIPZyR9Q
Please leave a post in this discussion for any kind of feedback.
I'm in one of the first ensembles to play the piece, and if you can get your hands on it, you need to play it. It's a very Clarinet-heavy work, with an Oboe Solo (Clarinets play a second, hidden part, so I don't know if it's a solo), A trumpet solo, a Flute solo, and a Sax Quartet. Music for a gentler time indeed...
It might not be released yet, just look for the Clinton High School Wind Ensemble's performance of it in March. It may be released, I don't know. Just keep a look out.
(If I'm way to active, let me know)
Great emotional piece with some legendary oboe solos. Be sure to have mastered dynamic influence while going into notes, that's a key part in this song. Don't forget to breath, you'll need all the air possible for this one.
I mostly play the tbone, baritone, and trumpet and I'm getting braces soon. Does it affect playing?
The craziest people I've ever known are double reeds. Like thinking about the strangest things for no reason, even though you have no interest in them. Maybe it's the back pressure getting to my skull.
Will let you know if I get any aneurysms lol
To all those who play the flute, what exactly do we call ourselves? Like people who play the clarinet are clarinetists, people who play percussion are percussionists, but what are we? Flutists? Flautists? Floutisits? Flutation devices?
Am I the only person here who thinks that Mario Bros and it’s variants isn’t the place for Church Organ Music but TV, Film, and Games.
Also how many variants can you have on a theme of Mario Bro........
Not being fuddy duddy but when I look at a group called Church Organ Music I’d expect to see hymns, psalms and organ music which is public domain.
Right, so I'm just starting off on trombone. I've never played a brass instrument before this, just woodwinds and strings.
here's another #MusescoreMonday challange for ya.

Check it out and let us know what you think of it.
Hi you all,
we uploaded a new rudimental challenge. It's called Rudimental Progression.
A composition for snare drum, bass drum and drum kit with some progressive changes.
Check it out and let us know what you think of it:
Check out this awesome arrangement I made for the themes of Star Trek, the Original Series and the Next Generation.
Hey! I hate asking for feedback, but as this is my first arrangement I would heavily appreciate it. Please note the lack of bass clarinet is due to my group not having one, maybe I'll make a version with the bass to have it sound better in the future.
I recently posted a set of three pieces for clarinet and piano...
If you are a clarinetist, please give me your feedback on the clarinet part.
EDIT: We're looking for recordings of the ballad! Here's the link for more info! https://musescore.com/groups/musecorps/discuss/5027254
Hello everyone! My friend Mark and I have been working on a show for fun. It is based off of the novel 1984, and will likely be completed within the next month.
If enough people sign up, we hope to create a virtual drum corps of sorts. Basically, by this, we plan to have as many people record themselves playing though the parts as we can get, then compile the parts together into one big audio file. Mark is working on writing drill in a program.
All I'm hoping for with this specific thread is to see how many people would be interested in hearing more about this idea. Lemme know if you'd want to play in it below, and ask any questions that you may have! I'll make a bigger post in the near future with specifics.
If you haven't seen the score yet, here's a link: https://musescore.com/themtcrew/scores/5217400
Thanks guys! If you want/can, let any friends that you think would be interested know about this. We hope to get as many brass players as we can, and will take any percussion recordings if we can find them! To be clear, we're not looking for recording yet, as the show isn't completed. Just wanted to see how many would be interested!
Hey, just curious, out of the people here who work on transcribing pieces from songs and such, how many of you have actually taken a music theory class/lessons/self-taught.
(If you've gone to college for Music, then please don't respond. I'm curious because I'm noticing a lot more pieces and transcriptions on here that have chords and such that don't make much sense.)
riverflows in you duet sax with piano.
I think it is the only saxaphone~piano cover!
oboe is cool
