Saxophone Ensembles

14 discussions • 268 scores • 863 members

The group is for sax ensemble sheet music, though your score can contain other instruments as well (not only saxes), but only if these instruments are just complementary, i.e. the arrangement could be played without those instruments.

Sax solo transcriptions

7 discussions • 44 scores • 778 members

For transcribed saxophone solos synchronized with youtube video/audio. So, you can see what is played and hear how it is played, and even slow down the playback speed to learn to play it!

Post your transcriptions and use the ones that are already done.

See the top post in "discussions" section of the group for more information.

By the way, the main "Saxophone" group is here, check it out as well:

You can post here arrangements or your own compositions of rock/pop/any other style or movies/games themes for any ensemble
which includes saxophone(s) as lead instrument .

This is the one and only criterion for scores of the group.

Orchestral Saxophone

3 discussions • 9 scores • 161 members

“It cries, sighs and dreams. It possesses a crescendo and can gradually diminish until it is only an echo of an echo. I know of no other instrument that possesses this particular capacity to reach the outer limits of audible sound.”
-Hector Berlioz
The saxophone has great potential, but is often shunned. Here we can discuss how weave the saxophone into the orchestra with the maximun effectiveness.

Musescore Competition group

6 discussions • 1 score • 39 members

Every month (or other time period I choose) I will give the group a challenge and a due date for when it has to be finished. You can post your song for the challenge at any time as long as it follows the challenges I give you. You can post as many songs as you want. If it doesn't follow the challenges, I will delete it. How we determine the winner is this: Under a discussion called Votes that I will make, you can post which song you like best so far. You can only give 1 vote and It can't be your song (If you have one for the challenge). Everyone has to vote for a song. If you don't vote for a song you will get 1 warning (Warnings are explained 8 rows down from this one). On the Due Date, I will see which song has the most votes (there can be a tie) and they will win! If there are no votes the competition will be extended longer. If you win your username and the song you won with will be displayed in a discussion called Hall of Fame! If I win, I will only say that I won and what song I won with in discussion called Hall Of Fame. Feel free to make any discussion, invite friends, or anything else as long as it follows the rules listed below. This is the "discipline system" for this group: If you get 10 warnings you will be kicked out of this group. This is how you get warnings: 1.Bad/Offensive chat: 6 warnings 2.Bad word in score: 4 warnings per bad word. 3.Advertising without permission: 2 warnings. 4.Song that doesn't follow the period's challenge: 1 warning. 5.You did not vote for the period's challenge: 1 warning. Again, if you get 10 warnings you will be kicked out from this group. This group is Moderated (membership requests must be approved). If you have any Questions private email me or ask me them in the Discussion called Questions. I hope you have fun and maybe win!

Banana group

4 discussions • 9 scores • 13 members

I have written a few compositions with the word "banana" in it. Banana refers to the fruit or to music that is bananas. This all started because the Downy Yellow Dingle Dork (.a famous bird who even was even in a musescore opera) loves bananas. Submit any composition with a fruity silky amusing funny theme or jwhat themheck, put anything in there because I may think it's funny. I laughed at Beethoven and Mahler (especially Mahler) so your may seem amusing also. I try to comment on every piece.

The melodica is an underused and underappreciated instrument that is regarded as a toy. But the melodica can be used to create very expressive and rich music as well as any other instrument.
