Embedded iframe with YouTube recording fails in some web browsers

This is a problem which has existed for quite a while, and it would be good to sort it out definitively.

Many of us use the "Share" option to embed an HTML "iframe" of the MuseScore player in our own website. It's really useful for making practice files for choral societies and church choirs.

With a MuseScore file that creates its own playback, it usually doesn't matter which web browser you use: it plays normally.  But if the score is sync'd to a performance recording on YouTube as the default sound source, then the playback doesn't work on all web browsers.

Here is the result of a test of various browsers which I ran today:
-  Chrome 73.0.3683.75  = broken
-  Edge 42.17134.1.0 = broken
-  Firefox 65.0.2 = plays ok
-  Internet Explorer 11.648.17134.0 = plays ok
-  Opera 58.0.3135.107 = plays ok
-  Vivaldi 2.3.1440.60 = plays ok

You can run the test yourself on my HTML page, where the SATB player is linked to a YouTube performance by Birmingham Conservatoire Chamber Choir:

War's das?

Wir haben 2019 und vielleicht ist dies das Letzte, was ich hier schreibe.
Vielleicht gibt es ja irgendwann ein Comeback. Das wäre schön, denn mir fehlt der Chor schon. Andere Chorprojekte können da höchstens lindernd wirken.
Man sieht sich!

New Piano Roll Feature on the musescore.com

Today marks the release of MuseScore Piano Roll. Piano Roll is a popular and convenient method to display piano notation in a way that not only simplifies learning a new piece for novice musicians who lack a teacher, it also beautifully visualizes each score.

(Video captured from https://musescore.com/classicman/scores/33715 )

Give it a try by simply clicking on the Piano Roll icon now available on all solo piano scores. Be sure to tell us what you think in Improving MuseScore.com!

All of these improvements are designed to not only make MuseScore.com the most valuable resource online for sharing and discovering great musical works but for learning them as well.

We hope you’ll be as excited about this new feature as we were to create it for you, and as always we look forward to your feedback.

This is just the first of an exciting series of updates and releases for MuseScore PianoRoll; we're already hard at work on improving the experience!

MuseScore Pro Prices

I've never been quite sure of why the musescore pro account prices 49 USD for a full year but when you want to pay month by month it charges 6.99 USD for each month.  That math doesn't add up, 49/12 is about 4.08, so the monthly payment option should be 4.08 USD a month.  There could also be some other reason for this difference in cash amounts that I myself have not looked into but I'm just confused and also intrigued by this pricing decision.

Can someone explain these things for me?

So, I'm going to be going to this music class, and I'm excited about it, but I need to know music theory (i.e.)
Specifically, I need to be able to the following things.

Easily identify notes on the scale. (I can do this)

Understand intermediate rhythmic values. (Not sure if I know this. Can someone elaborate it more for me?)

Know and recognize Major, minor, 7, and sustained chords. (I have no idea)

Can someone help and explain these things to me?

Movie Recommendation Thread!

Wondering about some good movies to watch over spring break, since I have that starting soon. Will try to watch all the movies that are recommended.
A movie series I recommend is Baahubali and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Tamil versions for both). They're on Netflix, 2 and a half hours each, and I have watched each at least four times. Great plot, action, and music numbers.

Top Users...?

What happened to the top users page??
I don't know if it's just my computer glitching or something, but all of a sudden Micah is the top user, with Lizza and a bunch of us right under. And I mean, that's great! Congrats to everyone! ...I think!
But...where did all the other old top users go? Like Mollymawk and stuff? I'm just curious. Does anyone know anything about that?
Or maybe my computer's glitching or something lol xD wouldn't surprise me...I dunno. :p

Does anyone else hate sentence counting?

Whenever a teacher specifies a minimum number of sentences something must be or tells me how many sentences make a paragraph I secretly groan to myself (not letting it be heard by the one who needs it most) because I can not writebeautiful sentences such as these; No man or woman said to James Madison, "The preamble of the Constitution of the United States of America has too few sentences to be a paragraph", because they all accepted the concept that a paragraph may be one sentence if desired, but I do understand that other measurements of a paper's length are little better: when by word I use minuscule words in unreasonably large quantities, when by page count I write too large, character count is an unreasonable amount of counting for noon-digital assignments and even on a computer it causes use of excessive amount and length of words; in truth there is no fair way to gauge a paper's length as all students will adapt writing behaviors to suit the measurement and so this practice ought to be discontinued so students can write as they please.

What is the weirdest thing you have ever got in trouble for?

Mine was at  school.
In the middle of my 3rd period (math), the boy in front of me asked the teacher if she was there yesterday (she had been gone with the flu for a few days). All I said was: "you weren't here yesterday? I didn't notice." I got a 2 day detention; my first one ever. He was also the same boy who would make fun of me about the way I look.
