Ok... here's what's happening...

Ok… after a long time, I’ll start the first competition with this:
You need to compose a song in a 5/4 time signature. Nothing else, just this.
I haven’t seen many songs with this odd time signature, so try and get creative.

Due date: 30/4/19
—Prizes—
If you win, you'll get to be in the 'Hall Of Fame' (under construction, due to be open at 29/4) and the banner will congratulate you until the next competition.

Ok, if this seems like the RSA competition, I talked this with Rebecca... and I wanted to open a competition group under the RSA name... but since she already started a competition, I decided to start a seperate group. You can tell me if you have a better idea for the prizes.

Don't be put off by some long, lengthy composition. A short one has an equal chance of winning as a long one (tho- not too long eg. 20 pages, because that's not fun- at all).

--Judges--
Due to the small (but growing) group, I'll take the first judge that offers, but cannot participate (because it wouldn't be fair, would it?). If you want to be a judge, you have to have messages enabled so we can talk about things. :D

Do you think EA will screw Jedi Fallen Order up?

EA has proven to ruin what could've been a great game multiple times. They don't make it as cool as they built it up to be. And in order to get the full gaming experience of something lots of times you're going to have to spend incredible amounts of money. Now with the release of the New Jedi Fallen Order game coming in November. I'm very skeptical. But EA is working with another company on this game, so I'm not sure how it will turn out. What does everybody think?

The Second and Third Place Winners Are...

2nd:
G. B. Wanscher: Né'Alhru'unduun'yeh - Arrangement for Jay and Jhon's March Challenge

3rd:
Keystring Composer: Spring - The Awakening

Congratulations guys! Both of these pieces were amazing!

G. B. Wanscher, I loved your piece. Personally, it captured a spring thunderstorm which is what I love. Excellent work.

Keystring Composer, your piece was amazing. I loved that magical spring feeling that you obviously captured. Amazing!

Keep up the great work guys!

-Jay

G.B. Wanscher: Loved your peace! Although, the slow feeling didn't resonate with me with having a Spring feeling. Other than that it was great!

Keystring Composer: You captured a magical essence in your song! Loved it!

Grand Staff Piano all on one clef

I used to have software where I just played my usb/midi keyboard, set a quantize level, and it recorded basic music (for beginner students) it quite well.  It would generally separate the treble and bass clef just fine.  I could select and move notes as needed after with my mouse.

Everywhere I search online and here it talks about separating vocal or band parts, but no discussion on basic piano being split between the two staffs at middle C and tweaking it from there.  It all records on only one clef at a time.  How can I adjust this?  Thanks so much.

Welcome! Why don’t you introduce yourself? :D

Hey guys, welcome to Wolf Pack! Why don’t you take a moment to introduce yourselves?
Also, a thanks to AcousticRenegade for making this group! She’s our leader technically, so listen to her. ;P

Guess I’ll introduce myself.

I’m Jay, I’m a transcriber, arranger, singer, composer, and pianist. I’ve had piano lessons for 2 and a half years, and I’ve been self taught sense. I’m currently learning guitar too. I love making people smile, and I love to talk to people. :)

A truly outstanding piece that captured the joyous emotions of springtime. The harp is amazing, I love it. You really captured an adventurous feel with this song. Congratulations on 1st place! I'm excited to see more from you! Keep up the phenomenal work!

2 NEW CHANGES IN JAY AND JOHN'S CHALLENGES!!!

Some changes are in effect for making this group better, and more rewarding for our competitors and winners!

1. We will be providing feed back for each score instead of only 1st place winner to specify strengths and weaknesses in your scores for future reference.

2. We will be keeping a list of JAY and JOHN'S CHALLENGES' winners in a separate discussion as a "WALL OF FAME" for recognition of first place winners, as well as 2nd place and 3rd place winners!

Also Jay and I are reviewing your scores to decide the final winner this Saturday! And trust me when I say, it's not an easy decision. xD Thanks everyone!

-John & Jay

Counting game anyone?

Literally we are just gonna count and see how high we get. There’s no count breakers, so it’s just for the thrill lol. Feel free to write normal comments, but make sure you include the number we’re on. And don’t make separate replies. Instead, just tag a user. If there is an error and you messed up or whatever, try and edit the comment before you delete it.
Have fun!
