I just installed 3.0, after using 2.something for several months. I had no problems with voltas in 2.X.
In 3.0 I can add voltas, but if I right click, there is no "line properties" or "volta properties" on the context menu. Is this a bug, or is there a new way to access these properties?
Hello, recently started using MuseScore 3 on Linux using a Yamaha P-105b for note entry. Now I experience something very weird: when entering notes using the midi step-time method, all is well until I enter two similar notes. The first note is replaced by a rest and the new note is entered as played.
When using the normal computer-keyboard there is no problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Using MuseScore 3.0.0 revision C1A5e4c
OS: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0., revision: github-musescore-musescore-c1a5e4c
EDIT: It also crashes a lot! Going to try a new AppImage; just saw 3.0.1 is available
How do I get the copyright to format so that if it is too large for one line, it goes to 2nd and 3rd lines. Right now I have a copy right that is probably 3 lines long. So when I put it in the Score Properties Copyright tag, it goes all on one line and off the page. Is there a way to get it stay within the margins and go to several lines?
In previous version MuseScore 2 I was able to move staffs to adjust vertical space just by pressing SHIFT key and dragging with left button on the mouse. Now with MuseScore 3it is not possible, the only I can do with this combination is selecting elemens. How can I this action?
Thanks in advance
I made scores using Musescore 2. But after updating to Musescrore 3, I am facing some issues with my old scores, like Title font changed, Composer text i placed in center below Title but now it comes on top left side and size decreased.
So please help, how can i retrieve same style of my old score in musescore3??
Hi everybody, I'm doing a big band arrangement, and have got my head round most of the MuseScore features I need. But what I would like to do, and I'm sure it must be possible, is find a way to insert the same text in every instrument's part for a given bar. eg 'cadenza'. At the moment I use the chord notation function - cntrl K - and repeat for every part. But I'm sure there must be a way to input the text once only, and have it appear in every part. What am I missing?
I recently downloaded the latest version. I was enjoying a lot of the new features, but one thing I found to be INCREDIBLY irritating.
Let's say there are 2 eighth rests next to each other and I want to put a chord over each one. The chords do NOT snap into place and the rests do NOT move in order to accommodate the chord. Instead the chords stack on top of one another. The same thing happens if I want to put a chord over a rest and there is a NOTE next to it that I want to put a chord over.
This does not happen when the chords are placed over notes, but it does happen whenever I put a chord over a rest. It is only a problem when I want to put more than one chord in a measure, but I do this fairly frequently.
Anyone have a fix? Thanks!
I use muse to help me learn guitar; to that end I create song sheets which usually have a few measures where I use TAB (intro for example) then to chord/slash measures - is there any way to devide a score up so that bars 1-4 are linked to a TAB and bars 5 - whatever are just normal stave?
New to Musescore and liking it. Fairly easy to get the hang of it but need some help with this. I want to increase the line spacing. My sight is not good enough to comfortably read the sheet music out there so, I need to expand the height of the staff.
Hold on! this is not the first time this has happened! Soon after I as for help, I find the answer. I right clicked on a measure and found Staff properties....line spacing.
All I have to do is ask for help and the universe opens up for me to solve my own problem? I don't get it but, I accept it!
While I don't have a score up yet, I do have the YouTube link. The story behind this fun little piece is when I listened to Eliot Butler's new old piece Christmas Memories I heard that first measure and instantly thought of my own piece from it. Thank you once again for the inspiration mate. Anyway, that out of the way I'd like to present my latest piece. It took a few hours of work, but I'm open to any suggestions you may have. Thanks!
I created a score on Musescore 2.3.2 . I've saved it, but whenever I open it there is corrupted formatting, and it's something different each time on the same document.
Sometimes the Rehearsal Marks appear in odd places and they may or may not be able to be 'grabbed' with my cursor for me to drag them back to their original position; sometimes the lyrics jump up into the stave; sometimes the System Text moves to places I did not put them; sometimes the bars have been stretched so I get different bars appearing at the System Heads.
It's crazy. I thought what I saved would be what re-appeared when I opened it again. Not so.
Is this a known problem? Am I doing something wrong? What are some possible solutions? I operate on a Macbook Pro, MacOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6.
I'm pretty new to MuseScore, I've never done a lot of work on here but so far I like it. However, I'm writing a flute/cello duet and I somehow added a bass part to my flute voice and I have no idea how to get rid of it. It's an entirely different staff and I've tried to fix it but I'm at a loss. Any helpers out there?
