Recently, i havent had any internet. Also, it seems like this group has became very inactive, and I rather keep it up and going. Hopefully u guys want to keep this group running just like I do and keep up the good work! Also, the 2nd elimination voting has been pushed back to September 22nd. Also, if some1 is inactive, especially those competing, then I will hav to eliminate u unless otherwise noted.
The only person to do a challenge this week was creammonster. So that means he is the only one that is immune since no one else but him done it. Not only that, he will be the only one that gets to choose who is eliminated this week.
Voting ends September 22nd at 6:00 AM EST.
Also, any1 that is inactive will be eliminated from here on out UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED!!!!!
The returning veterans this week will be... TheNightreader and Annie-Budgie
@TheNightreader welcome back.Choose the next elimination score and restrictions (optional). Topic: Chords
@Annie-Budgie welcome back Choose the next elimination score and restrictions (optional). Topic: Chords
When they choose the ELIMINATION SCORE, u will hav to follow the subjects they chose as well as the restrictions. The criteria is the same as the FLASH CHALLENGE (which no one done). However, nhood53 would've won the advantage but he had to quit the competition sadly.Echo had the best score in the previous FLASH CHALLENGE so he will win the advantage. Choices: 1. more time 2. 2 bonus points towards ur score 3. change the style of 1 of the scores (just for u). I will hav more details when they both choose an elimination score. itll be due on august 8th at 6 A.M. EST!!!
Even tho nhood submitted a score that he did in the flash challenge, he gets immunity. Valeria couldnt receive the message so she is also immune. Every1 else, including Ferry, is fair game. Post a comment down below who u want to vote for. Voting ends July 5that 6:00 AM (EST)
Up for elimination:
Last week, Ferry was the 1st person voted out while nhood53 was the first to be officially eliminated.
This time we will be testing u on Chords. Chords are one of the major things needed in music . Without chords, the song will probably turn out bland. So, every1 has to create a chorale (15 measures minimum, 30 measures max). There should be at least 4 instruments and no more than a concert band score. The winner will be immune from the elimination score.
Criteria for this challenge:
Balance- 1 point
Smoothness- 1 point
Dynamics- 1 point
Movement- 1 point
Chord changes- 1 point
Turned in on time- 1 point
Creativity-1 bonus point
Total: 7/6 possible points
Due date: July 9th (july 10th i can take it as well but itll be considered late) at 6:00 AM EST.
There will be 2 VETERANS coming back today. They are Valeria24 and one of my fans, Richard G Perritt Sr.
@Valeria24 welcome back.
@Ferry welcome back
For a twist, there will be 2 SCORES due upon submission. Plz link only. Another twist, both VETERANS will choose a challenge of their own, retaining to the TOPIC of this SCORE which is FUNDAMENTALS. the challenge Valeria chooses will be 1st and will be due June 10th no later than 6:00 AM EST.
For Ferry, his challenge wont be due until June 20 (reason is summer assignments for me) at 6:00 AM EST.
The winner of the FLASH Challenge will get an advantage on Both SCORES while the 2nd place will get an advantage on either score, but not both. The advantage on which score is of their choice. Good luck!
Those that want to compete in Season 2 will get to signup. If you were in last season, you can still signup, but you will not come into the competition at the beginning. Instead, you will begin in each elimination challenge. Only 1(maybe 2) of you can come back every elimination challenge in the order I assign you.
Both judges of Season 1 will not be judges of Season 2 cuz they were inactive throughout, so Tony McCahill and LucasHMusic will be judges in Season 2. After reading the NOTICE discussion, then say Yes to sign up agreeing to All terms
Ethan Dowley/Ethan Dowley2
Richard G Perritt Sr
For this flash challenge, it's all about Fundamentals. U will find out why only 15 of u start off in the ELIMINATION SCORE later on. But for now, create a score that has the basics:
1. Dynamics - 1 point
2. Articulation - 1 point
3. Style - 1 point
4. Chords - 1 point
5. Rhythm - 1 point
6. Creativity - 1 bonus point
Total: possible 18/15 points (5-6 possible points from each judge)
At the end, the judges will decide which one of u won this challenge and the person that wins will get an advantage in the ELIMINATION SCORE. Good luck!
P.S. u can keep workng on it until I post the due date that these entries will hav to be in. This can give u a better score, so do well!
unless u r competing, Do NOT post any scores onto this group wall. Its getting kinda crowded and I'm trying to free up some space. If u want to sign up, go to the Season 2 discussion and follow the directions.
Thanks for the convenience! :D
These r the people that can be voted for:

NOTICE!!!!! if u dont do a challenge, ur auto-ufe. Ready? BEGIN!!!!!
For this elimination challenge, you guys will compose a piece that is from Star Wars (doesn't matter what song it is). The person with the best score will get a win scroll, which voids half of your votes. The team with the lowest score will be up for elimination, and 1 composer will be voted out. This challenge ends after New Years Day at 6 AM EST because the third week will be winter break and I will be too lazy to be on, maybe. Goodbye and good luck to all competitors!
PS: if most people turn in the challenge early, then expect the time to change.
Also, msg me or tell me in this discussion ASAP and give a VALID reason (school, sickness, events, ACT, SAT, sports, too much stuff going on). If u don't do the challenge, u could be eliminated. Rdy? START!
Annie-Budgie, TheNightreader, Ethan Dowley, and Tony McCahill, u guyz will make a Christmas song that all of us know of.
Examples: jingle bells, Rudolph, the little drummer boy, frosty, Charlie brown, and more.
This first of the 3 challenges is to compose a song that is meant for Christmas (ends on Dec. 10th, 2015 at 6:00 A.M. ET).
The 2nd of the 3 challenges is to make a song that is based off of Carol of the Bells(begins Dec. 12th and ends on Dec. 20th, 2015 at 6:00 A.M. ET).
The 3rd of the 3 challenges is to make an advanced arrangement of a famous Christmas song. (begins on Dec. 21st and ends on Dec. 30th at 6:00 A.M. ET)
Tony McCahill, u will pick first.
TheNightreader, u will pick second.
And aquinn3, u will pick third.
Plus, the 2 teams that had the lowest scores are up for a double elimination, unless we get a number of contestants in the multiples of 3.
Note to Team Captains: U can only pick 1 person per turn!
TheNightreader, Tony McCahill, Ethan Dowley, and aquinn3
U all have to create a Halloween piece. One will win and 3 will lose. If u drop out or do not compete, u will not have any kind of reward. You must create Night before Christmas's This is Halloween. The slightest note or rhythm off from it is from the original piece can get u eliminated from this (not the competition, but out of this special). This challenge ends on Nov. 1st, 6:00 A.M. EASTERN TIME!!! It's not due on Halloween because I will not be able to critique ur work.
Note to ALL competitors: If you can't compete in a challenge, MSG me ASAP and give a really good explanation why, otherwise you can be eliminated automatically. Does NOT apply in the final 14 on if there's 31 composers at the beginning of this season, final 10 on if there is 19 composers at the beginning of this season.
If you have been placed in the bottom of the SCORE CONVENTION, then you will have another chance to claim a spot. Competitors in the bottom must answer the question on what I used to make Welcome to The Black Parade as well as making the score. Challenge ends November 28th, 2015 as of right now at 6:00 A.M. EASTERN TIME. Plus for the 3rd part, you must make a score that is meant for jazz BUT it must be the following: swing, rock-swing, rock, or groovy.
(hint- it came from one part but can have 2-3 staffs)
every1 who didn't do the challenge
Tony McCahill-first to sign up
During ELIMINATION SCORES go to the ELIMINATION SCORE to see the challenge and vote who you think did the best (by emailing me) by using the same rubric that the judges use. This can make a HUGE IMPACT in the finale.
Judges will critique you on:
Tone (5-1, 5 being the best)
Pleasure of Sound (5-1)
Meeting the Challenge (5-1)
Total: n/30 (n=score)
The score can only be out of 30. For judges, it will be the average score u individuals get.
This means you can earn a possible 30points for each elimination score!
Team Score: n/t (n=summative score of all teammates, t= 30x the number of teammates)
