You're invited!

Hey guys!
Don't you hate it when groups that you love just slowly die out as people get busy?
Or how about when you're looking to join a new group, but you can't find one that fits your needs... or you find dozens of them and have to sort through active ones and dead ones for hours?
Or what about when you create your own group, but can't find a way to spread the word without "spamming"?
Me too.
That's why we've created the Group of Groups. Post about your groups, invite newbies, browse through groups to join, and find your niche in the Musescore community.  Join us! https://musescore.com/groups/group-of-groups

CONCIERTO DE ARANJUEZ BY RODRIGO, FULL ORCHESTRA

https://musescore.com/user/29306356/scores/5324811

Joaquin Rodrigo composed Concierto de Aranjuez in Paris, rue Saint Jacques, 159, in 1939, for Regina Sainz de la maza. Allegro con spirito is the first movement from Concierto de Aranjuez.

This is a work of transcription and I made several adjustments to orchestration without regard to mood and character.

great hope that this work will inspire other classical guitar and orchestra works

Hello everyone!

I deeply apologize for my absence from the Musescore community. Lots of personal problems and conflicts happened. I grew as a composer! Here's what to look forward to....

2. Two Challenges a month (Small projects that can be peer reviewed and to grow in composition skill)

Lots of things. Sunday on the 25th will have all of this sorted out and ready to begin. I look forward to getting involved with you guys again.

Summer EEC Announcement

Hey guys!

I apologize for my extensive absence from this community/site. I promised a competition this summer but things have been a bit busy (also exhausting honestly). Taking this on with all my other things was hard. I will launch another competition about 1 week from now (August 14).

Thanks guys for staying interested and liking the competitions! I really appreciate it. That alone is enough motivation to stop being 'tired' and get started again. Look forward to it on August 14th.

Be you, Be true, Be epic!

EEC #9 Judging Status

Hey guys!

I have some bad news. I only got 1/4 of the way done with the scoring. I apologize for the lack of time I said I have. This week was a crappy week to commit to so much. I have these options I want you guys to comment on and decide what should be done. This is for you guys so I want this competition to be ran the way you guys want it to. So, I can't judge them for a while so look at the options below and comment on what you want to do with this problem.

- Postpone the competition and move on to the next competition in a few days. This means that we can do EEC #10 and have that competition start a few days from today. Also, EEC #9 will still be judged but is going to be on wait till the results can be out (before EEC #10 results).

- Withdraw all submissions and cancel EEC #9. This will allow you to use the composition you submitted here and submit it in future competitions. The quote objective will be in place again if you want this option. This way, you don't lose all the work you've done on your submission.

- Volunteer to judge this competition in my place. This option is open but I don't think anyone will take this one so the first two are more likely.

Again, I apologize for this inconvenience. In the future, my planning and dates will be more accurate. Make sure to comment and see what we can do to solve this issue.

Thank you all for your patience! :D

ECC#10 NOT ACTIVE YET (Epic Composer News)

ANNOUNCEMENTS!
Hello everyone! Epic Composer Competition #10 is a collaboration. Meaning all participants will be randomly assigned to other participants to make one score. This random assignment will be based on some questions and compatibility of each participant with one another.

I will have each participant who is interested in participating in ECC#10 answer a few questions before entering the random draw. Here are the rough draft questions I have so far.....

1. What program do you use to compose?

2. What are your strengths and weaknesses with music genre and instrumentations?

3. What time zone are you from?

4. What forms of communication are you most comfortable with?

These are questions I will ask to accomplish a few things.
1. Match you with the most compatible composer musically

2. Match you with someone who uses the same programs and can communicate easily within close time zones.

The due date will be extended and the rules for the composition will be more restricted. This will enforce 3 things.
1. The musical library you use to make music will expand and grow

2. Your skill and ability to work with other composers will be better

3. Also, to have fun writing music with new people

Random assignment also guarantees fair skill gap closings. The chance to win is very likely for any group participating.
I'm still developing the system and rules for efficiency and simplicity of this ECC. Let me know what you think and feel free to ask more questions about anything else.
