See the title for my inspiration: My "The Stories" set is coming to a close, as the piece that I have pained over for so long, "The Mystery Within an Autumn Wood" (the not-so-hidden gem of the set) is in the processes of completion, and when it has been finished, so "The Stories" shall be also. This piece here is complete. Doesn't seem like it? Well what does that tell you about the end of every story?

Please watch the VideoScore. It doesn't have any special SoundFonts (but the flute and piano SoundFonts are rather decent, in my opinion), but it includes rain in the background in the appropriate places and volumes, so...
Once again, this is not the one I've been planning (but haven't) posted, titled "The Mystery Within an Autumn Wood". But I decided to write it the other day and I haven't taken my eyes off it until I finished it a few moments ago. If you've heard my piece "The Summit" you'll probably hear some similarities. I didn't plan it that way -- it simply happened.

Octobass Rumble!

After discovering the outrageously oversize stringed instrument called the octobass (look it up, it's genuinely outrageous), I couldn't resist throwing together a solo piece for it. The Wikipedia article was particularly informative as to pitch and history, and I was able to accurately construct this. Perhaps one day an octobassist will play it...

I composed this a long time ago right at the beginning of my first year of marching band, so it is dedicated to a specific junior that pretty much convinced me to stay even though the practices were like living hell

Once I Told a Story

This is definitely one of my best pieces, however the ending may need some reworking in the distant future. It is actually among a succession of four songs, among them "Welcome to a World of Wonders" ( -- The intro to this piece). The rest are either still being written or I have not posted yet.

Welcome to the World of Wonders (A Round)

Aside from my computer briefly breaking, my absence is mostly due to my work on a song titled "Once I Told a Story" (, one of my best if not my best. This piece here is a very mystical prelude to it, although they sound nothing alike. I just felt like this captures the mood of a story just beginning...
Also if you know anything about the Celesta, please let me know. I am clueless to how they work and would love to know more; I've begun the search to actually record some of my pieces.

The Stream -- For Four Pan Flutes

I just posted the original version of this song (simply "The Stream" -, and the first comment I received mentioned that this could basically only be playable with four pan flutes (there were a lot of ties where two different types of notes were playing at the same time). And so, with noting else to do then, I decided to elaborate. Thus this score was born
