Update for competitors

Jun 1, 2019

Hello my fellow competitors!
Thank you all for joining this competition. I really love to get the chance to listen to new and unique music, and I love to see that people are willingly getting themselves involved!

First of all, I have decided to set the deadline for July 31st, 11.59pm AEST. Please submit your compositions through the competition e-mail. When submitting your compositions, please include an MP3, a PDF (or mscz file if you don't want to/don't know how to) as well as an XML file. If you need help converting your score to any of these I am more than happy to help! Don't forget to title your score as well as leave your name (or you can use your username for the sake of anonymity).

Now remember, if you decide you want to change your ensemble category choice, you are more than welcome to do so (only once). Just let me know through the competition e-mail, or you can private message me on Musescore.

Last year the winners got a pro account, as well as their score put through the software I use for the vast majority of my scores (Sibelius with Note Performer), this year I have decided to let all competitors get their song put through the software. You can go through some of my recent scores from the last year if you want to know what it sounds like in an orchestral setting.

If you submit your score and you decide that you want to improve upon it, you are more than welcome to do that. Just let me know, and resend your updated drafts with the same files (MP3, PDF, XML) and I will put the latest draft through as the final submission.

If you have any questions or need any help at all, you can private message me or e-mail me. I am pretty responsive (though due to different timezones I won't be immediately responsive).

Happy composing everyone!

Kind regards,
Isaac Glover :)
