This piece written long time ago and forgotten. Now I've discovered it again and thought, it's worth being written down with this nice Musescore editor.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Every year, our family puts on a music program at a local nursing home on Christmas Day. It's a tradition we have all grown to love. Last year, I arranged this duet to play with my brother. We had a blast, and I hope you do as well! Enjoy the dramatic moments and be sure to observe the subito dynamics throughout.

I wrote this arrangement a while ago and just recently played it with a friend. Truth is, I wasn't a fan of the arrangement. I wouldn't have played it unless my friend had asked me too. A couple of people, including my dad, told me they enjoyed it and thought it was a good arrangement. I didn't put much weight on their opinions until I actually listened to the recording of our performance. I was surprised that I actually enjoyed it! It actually held together pretty well.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the arrangement. (If you don't, let me know how I could improve it.) As always, all glory to God. Merry Christmas!

Sorry the audio is a little quiet, I should fix that... :/

Hello everyone! this piece is something I've been refining in my head over a year or so, and I finally decided to record it! So here is my longest piece to date lol. I wasn't sure what to call it, I thought of calling it "Impromptu" and such, but I decided to call it a sketch :)
But I'll also give it the sub name "A Song of the Night Breeze". (but then I realize the painting has nothing to do with the name lol)

just an experiment, so let me know if it is good or bad hahaha :D I was inspired to write this from a few sources, but one of the most noticeable might be the Paddington 2 music from the dream/story scene of paddington telling his aunt lucy about being in prison.

"The night goes on without a care, and toward the sky a lonely stare,
all the homes are shut up tight, as mommy and daddy say goodnight.
How long it seems to be away, as I watch to see the coming day,
“goodnight dear world” I say in a whisper, and the evening air seems a little more crisper.
And as I hear the crickets creak, I slowly start to fall asleep."
- Robin Butler

A very simple peaceful Nighttime piece for Solo Piano, perfect for falling asleep to ;)

Better sound (on mobile and tablet): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2w-4qu9pbsI!
This is one of the first songs I composed for piano. When I finished the song (in 2012) the melody reminded me of the Harry Potter movie theme song. So that explaines the title.
Some time ago I tried to play the 2012-version and I noticed it was really hard to play, especially the left hand part. So I revised the song a little and now it's quite easy, even for beginner piano players. I can promise you: it's really fun to play this piece. It always makes me cheerful.

The picture on the sheet music (also used as thumbnail on my YouTube-channel) is taken from the website Unsplash. The picture is made by Jay Ma. I guess it's a picture of luminous mushrooms, but I like to imagine these are fairies, dancing the Potterwaltz.

I hope you will try to play this piece on the piano. And maybe pianoteachers can use it for their students. If so: good luck and have fun!
