Help!

I'm stuck with a snotty kid that happens to be a piano prodigy. His fam is rich and we are stuck road tripping with them. I don't like to be compared to others by my fam, but it always happens. Every performance we go to, I'm stuck listening to my parents' comments about how I need to be like the others at the studio: a prodigy destined for greatness. I tried to tell my mom, but she just brushed it off and defended herself and my father. Also, I didn't even want to go on this road trip. I wasn't even asked! So, PLEASE help and give advice so I can make it thru the trip...

HQ Orchestral Soundfont Collection >>>v3.0<<< UPDATED 5/3/14 >>>DRUMSETS NOW INCLUDED<<<

Hello,
I have made a large soundfont for orchestra with realistic (mostly studio recorded) audio instead of generic MIDI... I then mixed those into the default soundfont, so that my good ones replace what they can, but the old MIDI for the ones I didn't have are still there... The link is at the bottom, but please take the time to read the full overview below.

>>>>>GOT RID OF CHANGELOG DETAILS... NOW IN SEPARATE .TXT FILE!!!!! DOWNLOAD TO READ CHANGES!!!!!<<<<<

=============================INSTRUCTIONS===========================

Of course there are all of the old default sounds between these, but the above additions are mostly partitioned off together similar to the way the old defaults were... A few notes are as follows: The timpani set as default has a little bit of a smaller range, but what it has (I haven't fully tested it out yet...) Is the ability to input the same notes at higher octaves for different effects (Like hard or soft drum rolls...) Try it out... Otherwise please use the concert timpani near the bottom...
Long story short about the additions at the bottom of the list instead of putting everything in order is that I had to REPLACE the old sounds, or put the new sounds in the same bank the old ones were in and move the old ones to the bottom is I wanted to keep them... It is the way it works and if you want the default instruments to work you really need this feature to work. I would recommend checking the Display>Mixer settings (which sounds go to which instrument) before composing a new piece, adding new instruments, or playing someone else's piece... Otherwise you might get some misplaced sounds. (like piano for violin...) Currently I am only aware of HAVING to do the strings each time, the others should just be default...

=============================INSTALLATION============================

FINALLY, here are some instructions on how to install the soundfont if you haven't done it before... It is really simple...

STRING PLAYERS! I Need support!

Ok ok... thid post has been running around various groups in musescore... Sorry if this will be the millionth time you had seen this exact post.... anyway.

Im not sure if this is an appropriate group for this but hereis my post:

VIOLINISTS! Please read! Looking for community orchestra.

MY TITLE LIED. I also need Cellists and Violists. But that's all!
Hi there? I'm Just chillin' around. Oh? I have business? Anyway, lets get to the topic.
I'm looking for string(orchestra) players to record on their instrument some notes (Included all open strings G-D-A-E[Violin], C-G-D-A[Viola, Cello]) and preferably a sound sample for every three half steps with a 10 second length (It's alright to record your bow change, but make it less obvious). I'm looking to build a community strings chamber session orchestra sample library for the use of everyone.
(It will +++NOT+++ COME AS A KONTAKT PLAYER SAMPLE(.nki files), Only as SFz and Sf2 file formats. I just need your support and lets record a community strings session chamber orchestra. (And if you are a professional musician, well you know what else to add to those samples. (Highest note on violin could be *C8, C7 for viola and C6 for cello)
And if you're lucky enough to have a good microphone and a good sounding violin, Your sample set may be the samples used in the solo violin instrument wink *With credit. (Also, please don't cheat and use other people's samples[that may be even unlucky enough to be copyrighted]
All of these will be possible with some help here! You and every single one of you who are willing to participate WILL BE credited.
If you have a condenser microphone or a clear mic, then you had saved me a few hours of editing time.
But out of everyone who will want to participate in this project, only 40 sound sets(or 40 sets of people's sample recordings) will pass through, UNLESS I might receive more than 40(For I have posted this too in other websites like Musescore and my own social media), 35-40 samples has been exeeded and(if ever) it reaches to 60 sets(Which I doubt, I HIGHLY DOUBT it will), then there will be
violins-section1.sfz and
violins-section2.sfz etc. etc.(same as for the cello, if it reaches more than 8(not eighty) sets, and viola(if it exceeds 20.)
That means, a second string section in one library! If that happens, It will be the first library to have that,-(Unless someone already made a library with two sections, which I have not known of yet.)
So all I really need of you(No other hard work for you needed, You don't need to process the audio files, I will be the one doing all of that).
You could email me here: russianlessonfinder@gmail.com if you're a slight bit interested or you want some more info about this(Yeah yeah, yeeesh. I know this was a long read ^ but I only scratched a sand surface on that info)
Peace! See ya.

Intervals

I'm having trouble understanding intervals. I'm almost 13, and just starting composition. I have written a few songs which, without thirds, sound mid evil. I'm wondering if anyone could help me on that...

Trill

I wish the musescore would play the trill instead of ignore it. I have a way to simulate trils in the meantime though, just slurr a bunch of 16th notes

Indian Music/ Other types of Asian music

Need help with either making an Indian song or finding a different asian genre. These concepts would be for the second movement to my concert band suite titled "The World" in which there are seven songs, each with the name of a continent. I have made Africa, (https://musescore.com/user/21747331/scores/5125017) but I am stuck on writing a third genre of music for Asia. I have done a pentatonic scale theme and an Arabian part. Plz help

Reboot of the very first "piece" I ever "composed"

Like the title says, I'm sort of doing a reboot of the first little bit of music I wrote.

I wrote the original around a year and a half ago. Honestly it's just an odd collection of ideas, but still. Back then I had absolutely no understanding of theory and while I like the melody, the whole piece in general makes me want to cry (not in a good way).

I only have 30 seconds done so far but I'm really liking it and I figured I'd share it here. There is a link to the original in the description.

Update on Asia

This is the second movement of my suite of "The World". It took a lot of time to research all of the different styles of music and how to put in the melody and chords. I really need feedback because this is a first draft and there is probably a lot of things wrong with it. Thank you for taking the time to view this and please, PLEASE give feedback. This is Asia.

Goodbye, Musescore!

Hey, guys, just wanted to notify you all. I have recently found a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) called FL Studio. I have been working on learning it for a few days, and I'm hooked. So, I will be making a Soundcloud account and making FL Studio music to post there and sell on the Unity Asset Store. What this means is: I'm leaving Musescore. My 6-Month journey with you guys has been very fun. But it's time for me to move on. I'm not getting rid of my account, nor am I stopping uploading. I'm just going to be WAY less active. Shoutout to Masked_mudkip105 for introducing me to musescore, and to musescore and the musescore staff for being a huge help! I would not be composing today without you guys.
So, yeah. Goodbye, everyone, and keep composing! ;)

Im 11 years old

Hi everyone, I am 11 years old and i compose very explicit, and hard music, i am one of those rare composers that compose at a specific age and for their maturity of composing which is also rare for a 11 year old. So far I am loving musescore and playing instruments, my personal favorite is piano, which i am probably a level 10 at surprisingly, sometimes i like to do maniacal music in some cases. But in general i do mainly every type of music there is to compose like for modern and classical which i do. that is all about me and i am 11 years old!
